We started both our children at Sticky Fingers in the Baby Room when they turned one. Our son is now at primary school and our daughter is in the Toddler Room.
As new parents with our son, the thought of him attending nursery at such a young age felt daunting. However, any such feelings were quickly subdued by the welcoming, friendly and professional manner of Nikki and her team. Both children love/d attending Sticky Fingers, they have always left at the end of each day with big smiles on their faces, full of chat & stories about what they've been up to throughout the day. The staff always take the time at the end of each day to give you detailed reports of what your child has got up to, how they were, any worries etc.
Nikki and her staff are very, very caring and supportive. They make sure that all the children have ample opportunity to grow and thrive, this ethos resulted in our son starting school with a strong foundation and a love and passion for learning.
Sticky Fingers has a lovely nurturing feel. The children are provided with fantastic healthy home cooked meals and have the time and space to play and explore, including great outdoor areas. We are proud to recommend Sticky Fingers to friends and new parents.
Picking the right childcare is a huge decision for every parent and it felt especially important for us after having our baby in February 2020 about 6 weeks before the first national lockdown. Like lots of families in the same position, our son spent his first 6 months interacting solely with us and barely meeting any other adults and we worried about how that would affect his confidence and social skills.
When it came to looking at nurseries, we wanted a setting that felt warm and supportive. From our first meeting with Nikki, she made us feel that our son would be safe and cared for with a strong emphasis on emotional wellbeing. Our son started Sticky Fingers at the age of 1. He didn’t settle immediately but his key worker, along with Nikki and the team were so patient and gentle with him. He now asks to go to nursery every day and his confidence, language and social skills have blossomed. His baby brother has recently joined him at Stickys and is doing well. It helps that the food is also excellent!
A warm and friendly nursery which has made my daughter feel welcome and secure for over a year now. They have caring staff who are well engaged with the children and make us feel comfortable and supported. We get excellent feedback on our daughter’s development with full analysis in her learning journey book. I’m always so impressed with the wide variety of activities they have on for them, she absolutely loves it and as a bonus learns so much!
Both of our children have flourished at Sticky Fingers and most importantly they have enjoyed their time there. We completely trust Nikki and her team with our children, and we would highly recommend this nursery.
My children have been going to Sticky Fingers since 2018. The eldest has now sadly had to leave to go to school, but the time they have both spent there has been nothing short of fantastic.
I will never forget the way Sticky Fingers continued to touch base and care about my children throughout Covid. Even when they didn’t know if they would be able to keep going, they read stories online and sent books through the post. The awful time that we all shared during Covid really showed me how much all of the children genuinely mean to Nikki, Dom and the ladies at Sticky’s.
Sticky Fingers feels like a family to me; my eldest loves coming back to see everyone and is always greeted like she’s never left. All of the team are amazing, the activities they plan are original and seasonal, the children come home with so many crafts and stories of their experiences each week, and the learning journeys that the team create are beautiful; such a treasure to keep forever.
The food is brilliant, my two would choose it over my creations any day of the week, and the menu is really varied and full of fruit & vegetables.
I cannot recommend Sticky Fingers enough. The care and attention they show to my children and have also extended to my husband and I over the years is second to none.
From the moment our daughter began coming to Sticky Fingers at just two, we knew we had found the best Nursery for her. Now three, her speech and confidence have grown immensely since she started. Our daughter always comes home sharing the new things she has learnt each day and fun she has had with her friends. We cannot thank the wonderful team at Sticky Fingers enough for being part of her journey and for loving and caring for our daughter each day. She would love to stay forever!
We have had one child complete 4 years with sticky fingers, and currently another 1.5 years in, and could not recommend them highly enough. From fresh home cooked meals to friendly staff who clearly know our children personally. Not only do we feel our children are cared for, but our children report how much they like the staff too. They both enjoyed the outside play areas as well.

We couldn’t be happier with Sticky Fingers nursery. Reggie absolutely loves his time there and regularly talks about the activities he gets up to and his friends. His development has improved enormously, he has learnt new skills, along with a huge volume of knowledge. Nikki and all the girls clearly love what they do as they treat him like their own! He adores them and is always happy to start the day. It’s so reassuring to be able to go to work knowing your child is in safe hands and having fun!
My daughter started at Sticky Fingers in September 2020, in the baby room. As she had no other siblings at home (and also being a ‘covid’ baby), it was really important for her to socialise with other adults and children. She settled almost immediately and with no problems. She was later introduced to Toddlers and finally the Pre-School room, again with no problems. She continues at pre-school until she starts school, full time, in September. Darcey has loved her time at Nursery and continues to do so. We have regular updates on her progress and her ‘learning journey’ from the start. She has bonded well with the staff and always looks forward to her ‘Nursery’ days. The food is prepared and cooked on-site & Darcey thoroughly enjoys it. Fish supreme, 3 bean chilli & rice & curry are among her favourites. On collecting her at the end of the day the Sticky Fingers staff always relay the day’s events and advise on what Darcey has been enjoying. Sometimes we bring home wonderful creations made during art/craft time. I cannot thank Nikki and her team enough for the care, compassion and encouragement they have provided Darcey during her time at Nursery. I feel she will be well prepared for her start at Primary School in September.

Finding the right nursery for your child is difficult. However, as soon as we walked through the door of Sticky Fingers, we knew instantly this was where we wanted our daughter to go. From day one, she has thrived, and we feel so happy and secure knowing that she is having a wonderful time and being cared for to the highest standard. The staff are brilliant, knowledgeable and genuinely care about the children, the facilities are fantastic, and the menu is wide-ranging and nutritious. There is a personal feel to Sticky Fingers and the staff make each parent feel that their child is special and unique. The staff are all welcoming and understanding, giving detailed handovers of the day and incorporate familiar routines to enable Frankie to feel comfortable and secure.
